DataQ Internet Equipment Corporation was founded in 1997 by Andrew Silverman, our President and CEO, after successfully founding and building TeleQ, a sister company that specializes in parts for telephone systems. DataQ was established to serve the ever growing demand for quality, low cost data networking parts.

TeleQ was founded in 1986 as A&A Connections. It began as a small telecommunications consulting resource selling used switching equipment for a variety of clients. Silverman quickly realized that the parts in the systems were oftentimes more valuable than the systems themselves to companies that install, maintain or expand telecom systems.

Soon A&A developed a variety of customers from around the world supplying low pricing and immediate delivery on parts for popular systems. It developed proprietary resources of unused parts which, in most cases, could be offered for less than refurbished or used parts.

In 1996, A&A created the TeleQ name to reflect the companies primary focus on telecom parts. Today, TeleQ and DataQ have grown to become leading alternative suppliers of choice to many telephone service companies, system integrators and telecom equipment distributors.
